Primary Workshops for Schools

World Book Day Dance Workshop

World Book Day is one of the biggest dates in the school calendar. Not only is it celebration of reading but it is also a celebration of everything to do with books, authors and illustrators worldwide. At Primary Workshops for Schools, we understand the importance of reading for pleasure and so we offer a dance workshop that brings children’s favourite stories to life.

This is a fantastic way for children to remember World Book Day; not only does it mark World Book Day, it fires up the children’s imagination, which is especially effective for the children who are less keen on reading for pleasure. We encourage children to dress up in their favourite character’s costume to make this workshop an even more colourful and memorable experience. Journey through your favourite stories from the Three Little Pigs all the way to Harry Potter through dance. Please do let us know if we cna bespoke your workshop to link with a particular text! We can cater for a single class or multiple classes so whatever your requirements, we can create a workshop to suit.

Our ‘World Book Day’ dance workshop links perfectly with World Book Day or curriculum topics.

For more information on our World Book Day Dance Workshop, give us a call on 01536 265432 or email us on [email protected].

Workshop Performance

Workshop & Performance

Workshop Sessions:

Up to 8 sessions

During a typical day-long workshop, Primary Workshops for Schools can work with up to 30 children in a session and deliver 6 sessions, stretching to 8 if required. The workshop can then end with a performance from the children during which they can showcase the moves they’ve learnt throughout the day and develop in confidence.
