prevCoronavirus Update
We are currently open and able to answer any questions you may have regarding our workshops.
Most of our workshops can be run successfully using social distancing.
In our Samba Drumming Workshop, the whole day is based around energetic and traditional rhythms from the Latin American culture. Our Samba Drumming Workshops are one of the most popular group activities we offer at Primary Workshops for Schools and your children will be delighted when they come together to form a samba band.
Samba drumming is particularly famous in Brazil and is played at many of their famous carnival festivals. Creating a traditional samba rhythm involves playing several different instruments and your children will get the chance to try their hand at these in order to create this unique sound.
Samba Drumming links well with Cultural Week, International Day and Arts Week or as a Rewards Day.
Workshop Sessions:
Up to 8 sessions
A typical day-long Samba Drumming Workshop consists of up to 6 sessions, stretching to 8 if necessary, culminating in an engaging performance at the end allowing children to demonstrate the exciting new rhythmical skills they have learnt.
