We are currently open and able to answer any questions you may have regarding our workshops.
Most of our workshops can be run successfully using social distancing.
Our Morris Dance Workshop is devised to give children of all ages and abilities the opportunity to experience the centuries-old tradition of Morris Dance and to celebrate English heritage. Your children will be enthused by the rhythmic and cheerful choreography of the traditional English folk dances called Morris Dance.
Children will learn about the importance of Morris Dance to English history. They will enjoy the use of traditional bells and handkerchiefs to bring the dances to life. To make the experience even more authentic, we recommend that the children dress in white just as Morris dancers do.
The experience will be one they won’t forget. Morris Dance pairs perfectly with our Maypole dance workshop and links directly to May Day and St. George’s Day.
Up to 8 sessions
A typical dance workshop from Primary Workshops for Schools would consist of six sessions throughout the day, stretching to 8 if required, which culminate in an engaging performance at the end allowing children to demonstrate the exciting new skills they have learnt.
