prevCoronavirus Update
We are currently open and able to answer any questions you may have regarding our workshops.
Most of our workshops can be run successfully using social distancing.
Our African drumming workshop is led by highly skilled and experienced drummers who offer a fully immersive learning experience to children through the positive power of drumming.
Both entertaining and educational, this workshop is a great way of introducing children to a culture they may not have had much experience with. Our drum circle creates an atmosphere that draws the children in and teaches them djembe rhythms in an exciting and energetic way.
Our African drumming workshop is delivered all year round and links in perfectly with Black History Month, International Day, Cultural Week and Arts Week.

Workshop Sessions:
Up to 8 sessions
During a typical day-long workshop, Primary Workshops for Schools will start the day off with an assembly during which our drummer will both demonstrate and motivate the children for the day ahead. We can work with up to 30 children in a session and deliver 6 sessions, stretching to 8 if required. The workshop can then end with a performance from the children. This not only showcases the skills they’ve learnt throughout the day but also demonstrates how working within a team can lead to a powerful sense of achievement.
