Primary Workshops for Schools strongly believe that to simply tell a child something is not always enough. Showing a child is better but letting that child do it for them self is an incredibly powerful way of helping them to learn.
This is where our action packed, fun filled, interactive workshops come in. Using experienced performers we have begun to introduce a new generation of school children to the delights of: Indian Dance, African Drumming,
Junk Percussion,
Samba Drumming,
Drama Workshops,
Dance Workshops,
Mosaic Workshops,
Chinese Workshops,
Circus Skills Workshops, and
Story Telling Workshops. Each of our workshops are tightly linked to the National Curriculum and offer a child a more active way into topics covered in their school day.
Our companies aim is to expand a child's learning experience so that they can take what they have learned back into the classroom where the learning process can continue.
The success of our workshops can be measured by the level of enjoyment and interaction encountered by all those who take part.
What Schools have said about our Workshops:
"I meant to contact you after school on Tuesday, but this has been my first opportunity to do so. I just wanted to let you know that everyone here thoroughly enjoyed the day with the dancer and we all thought she was fantastic. She was superb in that she was able to adapt her approach to meet the needs of all our pupils and she worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was involved in some way. The day ended on a real high with the assemblies and it was brilliant to see the pupils taking part and enjoying themselves. The staff also felt energised by the day - just what was needed at the end of a long term. It was a real treat for us all, so thank you and please pass on our thanks to the dancer." - Jan
"Very colourful and exciting for the children. Really pleased as the boys joined in and dance so well."
"Greatly enjoyed by all concerned. Well organised and delivered. Great participation, not just children but adults as well."
"They (the children) all participated, even those that don't usually enjoy that kind of activity."
"It was excellent on so many levels & sustained concentration was required from the children without them noticing it was hard work, because they found it so fun."
"I thought the day was excellent and you were all so friendly and easy to work with."
"Even reluctant children 'had a go'."
"Thank you for being so pleasant and professional."
